1 Carat Moissanite Pendant Necklace, Marked 925 Sterling Silver

A single 1-carat round brilliant-cut moissanite held in a claw pendant on a fine chain, both in metal marked 925 sterling silver. This is the simplest possible pendant design and that is the point — nothing surrounds the stone, so all of the light that reaches it comes back out, and the pendant swings freely enough that it catches light continuously as you move. Three stone colours are offered: white, which reads as the classic colourless solitaire; red, a deep warm stone; and green, which is the most distinctive of the three and shifts between olive and emerald depending on the light source. At 1 carat the stone measures roughly 6.5 mm across, large enough to be clearly visible at conversational distance without being a statement piece. Moissanite is silicon carbide, a genuine gemstone rather than an imitation, harder than sapphire and more dispersive than diamond.
