What non-Remy means in practice

In Remy hair every strand runs root-to-tip in the same direction, so the cuticles lie flat against one another. In non-Remy hair they do not, and cuticles facing opposite ways catch on each other. That is why non-Remy tangles more readily, particularly at the nape where it rubs against collars.

It is entirely wearable, it just asks for more attention: detangle before and after wear, keep a leave-in on the ends, and avoid sleeping in it. The lower price reflects that extra care rather than a defect in the hair.
