A single polished buckle ring for locs and braids, in gold or silver. It is the low-cost add-on that finishes a style — one ring placed on a front loc does more work than a handful scattered at random.
Slide the ring onto the loc and squeeze it closed with your fingers or a pair of flat pliers until it grips without denting the hair. It should hold position when you tug lightly but still move if you push it. Anything tighter is putting tension on the loc itself, and over time that is what causes thinning at the point of contact.
Move your rings every few weeks rather than leaving them in one spot, and take them out before a wash so the loc can dry fully underneath.
Because it is sold as a single ring, most people order several. Three or four placed across the front and side locs reads as a finished style, while one on its own works as a quieter accent. Ordering a few at once also lets you mix gold and silver, which sits better against most hair colours than committing to one metal.
