Installing it — read this first

The adhesive mount needs a clean, smooth surface: wipe with an alcohol cloth, let it dry, press the mount on, and give it 12 hours before hanging a phone on it. It will not bond to leather-grained, oiled or suede-textured dash surfaces. Phones with built-in magnets attach directly; for others, fit the included metal ring to the case first.
